Golden Root

A fun card game for 2-8 players (recommended 4 players).

The objective of the game is to be the player at the end holding on to the Golden Root. Throughout play you may lose or gain many cards but also be subject to many twists that affect you during play.

Rules:-

1. At the start every player is the dealt 4 cards from a newly shuffled deck.

2. There should be 3 distinct card piles on the table: Draw (All cards go face down here and this is where you pick up new cards from), Play (Place your chosen card and place it face up on this pile for everyone to see and read the effect), Discard (Any cards you are told to discard must go face down in this pile, the Golden Root cannot go here).

3. Unless told otherwise you must remain at 4 cards throughout the game until the draw deck is gone.

4. Once the draw deck is gone everyone must play until each player holds 1 card. At this point the player holding the Golden Root must reveal them self as the winner.

5. If you are caught failing to perform an Action that applies to you then your next turn is skipped. If you get away with it then you no longer need to do it and can play 2 turns at once next time it comes to you. 

6. If you have to discard any cards you should draw new cards till you are back to the correct amount.

7. The player who stands closest to roots plays first(closest to the roots is the shortest player) and goes clockwise round the players.
